Attorney Spotlight: Steven R. Barnes
Practicing since April 1989, Steven Barnes is a criminal defense attorney serving Denver. Following law school, Mr. Barnes worked as a deputy district attorney in the 16th Judicial District and then the 17th Judicial District Attorney’s Office in Adams County, Brighton, Colorado. As a criminal attorney, Mr. Barnes litigated numerous felony, misdemeanor, and drug offenses.
Mr. Barnes earned his law degree in 1989 from the University of Missouri in Kansas City. He was admitted to the Colorado Bar in 1989 and is an active member of the Colorado Criminal Defense Bar Association. As a defense lawyer, Mr. Barnes utilizes his previous experience at the deputy district attorney’s office to provide quality representation to his clients. Mr. Barnes joined Mastro, Barnes and Stazzone, P.C. in 1993. As a drug lawyer and domestic violence attorney, he has litigated cases involving sex offenses, drug offenses, DUI, and white-collar crime. Mr. Barnes has utilized his trial experience as a criminal attorney in more than 100 jury trials. He is a partner in the law firm of Mastro, Barnes, and Stazzone, P.C.
